Alexander-Bacht Safarov was born in 1963 in Moscow. In 1991 he finished Moscow Academy of Fine Arts named after Sourikov and he received the degree of Master of Fine Arts. In 1994 he received  the diploma of Lecturer of Fine Arts of the same Academy. He took part in many exhibitions in different countries. He has also exhibited in Russia (Moscow), Japan, Tajikistan, U.S.A. and Cyprus. Since 1994 he permanently lives and works in Nicosia, Cyprus. Alexander runs his own art studio in Nicosia. He is a full member of the Cyprus Chamber of Arts, E.KA.TE.
