Petros
Charalambous was born in Nicosia in 1976. He studied Electrical
Engineering at the Higher Technical Institute in Cyprus and then he
studied film and television directing at the California State
University, Los Angeles. He interned for a year at CNN/DNEW in Los
Angeles and then came back to Cyprus where he taught television
production at the Frederick Institute of Technology.
Since
2000 he has been working for Lumiere Services as a film director for
television advertisements, music videos and narratives. His short film
“The Escape of the Queen” attended a lot of film festivals all over
the world winning awards and distinctions.
He has
participated in several photography contests where he also won awards
and distinctions. He was pronounced “Photographer of the Year” 2003/4
by Cyprus Photographic Society.
