Penelope was born in Nicosia, Cyprus. She studied painting in the Academy of Fine Arts of Florence in Italy. She was taught by the professor Fernando Farulli. During her studies she also attended History of Art, Etching, Design, Graphic Arts, Artistic Anatomy of the Human body and Photography. She did further Art courses in the USA where she showed her work as well. Her paintings exist in countries like Cyprus, Greece, France, Italy, Germany, Denmark and USA. After many years of residing in the USA Penelope returned to Cyprus to stay and continue her career. Apart from painting Penelope worked in Theatre, Stained Glass, Illustrations and taught Art. She took part in many group and solo exhibitions and she works as a full time painter. Penelope envisions Man spiritually and physically free from the Physical Universe we find ourselves in since time immemorial. Freedom from the pain Man accumulates when he operates in this Physical Universe in order to live life and freedom from his loss of power in his endeavour to survive thru life and death. This freedom inspires her to paint and the Manlike symbol or figure she is painting is not just the body but the spirit who happens to have a body in order to operate in the Physical Universe.
