Nicholas Panayi

Nicholas Panayi was born in 1961 in Nicosia. Nicholas won a government scholarship for the renowned Academy of Fine Arts in Prague where he studied from 1982-1988. Since then he took part in several group and single exhibitions, directs two Art Studios and the Studio Gallery in the heart of Old Nicosia. His work is characterised by strong brushstrokes and living contrasts between lines and surfaces taken mostly from the human figure and expresses deep emotions and intense experiences.
