George Mel (Meletiou) was born in Nicosia, Cyprus on 16 May, 1941. He studied in London and Paris and he is a graduate of Music and Arts. George plays the piano, he sings and composes. He also paint and exhibits his paintings all over the world.

At present he lives and works in the French Riviera, France. After fifteen years he is again back to Cyprus, exposing thirty of his paintings of different styles. The exhibition will take place in Paphos, Cyprus as from December 2010 to January 2011.
