Marianna Tsangarou |
Marianna was born in Nicosia in 1980.
After she obtained her BA from the Academy of Fine Arts in Florence,
she returned back to Cyprus and she worked as an art teacher in group
lessons in her own studio. All her paintings have been influenced by a
series of photographs (tree, grass etc.) which she has shot in the
past and made her realize how many different colours the light can
give, a different effect in the morning while during sunset the light
diminishes the colour darkness. Marianna chooses some particles to
turned them into paintings. Her colours are based mainly on the
chromatic effect of the nature. She mostly likes using oil than
acrylic colour, however in a few of her paintings she uses both.
Marianna took part in several group exhibitions in Cyprus and Italy.
Currently Marianna is MA in Painting student at the University of
Wolverhampton, UK. |
