Hulusi Halit born at Koloni, Paphos, Cyprus in 1954. He started painting at the age of six. Hulusi nominated by Ali Atakan as the best pupil among all the Turkish-speaking Cypriot secondary schools in Paphos. In 1969 he got the highest award at a youth contest among all the Turkish-speaking secondary schools in Cyprus with his painting "Young Couple". In April 1974, Halit moved to Berlin where he studied Advertising and Communication at the University of Arts in  Berlin (HDK, 1980-1986). From 1989 to 1992 he received professional education as a tutor. Now he applied his artistic skills in his professional work as educator. The experience he gained during his youth has a strong impact on his paintings, which reflects repeatedly his cubic tradition. His special interest is in the artistic dialogue with nature. For the past six years he exhibits in different Berlin Galleries. After about 31 years he presented, on 13th September 2005, his first exhibition “Glances at Cultures” at the "Melina Mercouri" cultural hall in Nicosia, Cyprus.
