Maria
Dossi born in Greece. During her basic studies at the gymnasium she
was studding artistic sketch at the school of the famous Greek
cartoonist Antonis Theofilopoulos and painting at the school of the
Greek painter Vassos Spiliotopoulos. Since 1981 Maria leaves and works
in Nicosia, Cyprus. After a long time of inactivity, she started
studding painting further, by following special lessons at the studio
of Nicholas Panayi. In 1991 she participated in a team art exhibition
in OPUS Gallery, Nicosia.
Maria followed art and painting lessons at the studio of the Russian
professor and painter Alexander Safarov and she participated to
several team exhibitions at Safarov’s studio, Philoxenia Hotel and Mea
Culpa art gallery in Nicosia. The last few years the Cypriot painter
Yiorgos Georgiou, taught Maria new techniques nad gave her new ideas
for painting. In 2006 Maria participated in a team exhibition
organised by Anglangia Municipality and it took place at Skali
Cultural Centre, Anglangia. During the last few years, Maria Dossi
occasionally worked as assistant of the renovator Mrs Machi Lidi, who
renovates neoclassic and other buildings and mansions, mainly in
Greece.
